I am a post-bac researcher and will be starting as a doctoral student in the fall of 2019 in order to pursue a career as a molecular entomologist focusing on the genetics and biochemistry of Aedes aegypti.

I am driven to understand the molecular and biochemical basis of Aedes aegypti decision making process during oviposition in both the laboratory and the field. Miami is an ideal place to understand mosquito oviposition behavior in its ecological context. My goal is to generate new attractants or repellents that can manipulate oviposition site selection by gravid Aedes aegypti females.
