I received my B.S in Biology from the University of Richmond in 2018.  I am currently a doctoral student in the DeGennaro Lab. I am interested in medicine, having volunteered as an EMT for six years prior to joining the lab, and am currently fascinated by developing mutants to gain a stronger understanding of coral symbiosis.

I will be working on developing mutant Cassiopea to develop an understanding of coral symbiosis.  The lab is currently focused on optimizing rearing of Cassiopea and investigating mRNAs present in the early embryo.
