I am an undergraduate biology major in the Florida International University and I am part of the receptor cloning team. My research interest involves understanding how the Ionotropic receptor family identifies human hosts in Aedes aegypti.

The Ionotropic receptors are a class of olfactory receptors in Aedes aegypti. My project involves cloning each of the IRs in order to see in what olfactory receptor neurons these receptors are expressed in and to find odors that activate these odor-gated ion channels.
