Valeria Saldana

I obtained my B.S in Biology at Florida International University in 2016 and I am currently taking a gap year before medical school as a research assistant in the DeGennaro Lab. Following my work in the DeGennaro Lab, I completed 1 year of clinical research at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in the Hematology/Oncology department as part of the Children's Oncology Group. I am currently attending Frank H. Netter School of Medicine in Connecticut.

I was interested in understanding the roles of ionotropic receptors in mosquito human host detection.
